Technical Service Agent
Business Support role: Technical Service Agent answer incoming phone calls and troubleshoot customer tech problems with computer software and hardware. Call centers hire technical support representatives to work full- and part-time hours during flexible shifts that may include evenings and weekends. Technical support representatives work in team environments and primarily report to the technical department supervisor or shift manager.
Task & Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide support to callers experiencing computer problems of all kinds. listen to descriptions of customer issues and determine how and if they can be fixed.
- Troubleshoot and use information from customers to diagnose tech issues and walk customers through the steps needed to fix various problems.
- Maintain Database, submit service requests.
- Respond to emails and online chat requests for technical support and keep logs of all calls.
